Sensory Garden and Outdoor Classroom

We are all delighted with the recent ground work that has been undertaken in the Sensory Garden and the area outside Larch Classroom.

The Sensory Garden needed some attention – the raised bed has been removed due to rotting sleepers, new fence posts and new benches have been cemented into the ground, ensuring the area is safe and enclosed. Children love being in this garden; an area where there is no running or ball games, for those within in to enjoy nature and reflect on their senses. Thank you to Mrs Hollyman who maintains the planting and has installed lots of objects to stimulate and engage the children.

A deck has been installed outside Larch Classroom to create a designated outdoor learning area. The children love being here and taking their learning outside.
